This is rote practice. I think this kind of practice is good for the one practicing. I used to stumble sometimes with creating the right list structures in different procedures evaluating in different ways using the different list-making procedures like cons and append before rote practice reinforced my understanding of the list model and the procedures working in it. However, these exercises are very boring to comment on.
